12 days of learning through real life.
This is a creative working itinerary based on our Netherlands–Belgium–Luxembourg concept. Activities may shift with season, partners and weather, while the learning themes remain.

Forest survival & navigation
Map reading, shelter basics, safe fire principles, knots and teamwork in the forest — with reflection on resilience and responsibility.
Biodiversity & farm-to-table
Explore forest ecology, insects and plants, then visit a farm or garden to understand where food comes from and prepare something together.
Dutch heritage & windmills
A cultural day around wind, water management and traditional crafts, with child-led observation tasks and a baking activity.
Make, build & create
Hands-on woodwork or simple construction, pottery/art and problem-solving. Children design something useful and explain how they made it.
Outdoor skills day
Fishing, archery or horse-related learning where available, followed by a campfire meal and family storytelling evening.
Three countries, one journey
Travel south through Belgium toward Luxembourg. A border-and-geography challenge turns the drive into a lesson on language, maps and Europe.
Fuussekaul nature day
Settle into the Luxembourg base with woodland exploration, animal/farm encounters and a slow afternoon for child-led discovery.
Castles, stories & local culture
Explore Luxembourg’s history through a castle or heritage town, sketching, storytelling and a simple family research challenge.
Craft, movement & challenge
Pottery or another local craft combined with an outdoor challenge. The focus is patience, coordination and learning from mistakes.
Science in nature + group project
Simple field science, observation and a group task. Children prepare a mini presentation, poster or nature journal about what they discovered.
Reflection & onward journey
Closing circle, family reflection and a shared “what I learned” moment before the onward journey or return toward the Netherlands.
